General

This website presents a small selection of photographs taken during travels to various countries. The photos were captured using digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and optimized for on-screen presentation with image-editing software in terms of brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness. Various lenses with focal lengths ranging from 16 mm to 400 mm were used.

Home Page Photo
The home page image shows the endless beach of Langeoog on the German North Sea side, taken with a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera and a 16mm to 80mm zoom lens.

Architecture
These photographs have been taken in 2014 and 2015 on several trips in Malaysia. The pictures show different views from and to the landmarks of Kuala Lumpur, the "Sultan Abdul Samad Building", the "Petronas Twin Towers", the "KL-Tower" and other buildings in and around Kuala Lumpur. Some pictures have been taken from the visitors terraces of the "Petronas Twin Towers" and the "KL-Tower"

Landscape
These photographs have been taken on trips in Germany, Denmark, Scotland, Tasmania and Chile, as well as above Afghanistan from an aircraft.
